Carnarvon’s success in the Bedout sub-basin started with Phoenix South within WA-435-P and Roc in WA-437-P, which proved to be the catalyst to further exploration in the basin.

Phoenix South-1 was drilled in 2014 and uncovered light oil within a high-quality reservoir.

This success was followed by Roc-1, which intersected condensate rich gas, while the follow-up appraisal, Roc-2, flowed at about 53 million cubic feet of gas per day, with an associated condensate rate of 2,954 barrels per day, during testing.

The Roc and Phoenix South discoveries have been assessed to hold a combined gross best estimate 2C contingent resource of 95 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Carnarvon holds a 10% interest in WA-435-p and WA-437-P, with CPC Corporation holding 10% interest and Santos Ltd holding an 80% operated interest in both permits.
